Robert Guy
Seminole Truancy Alternative for Youth/Young Men of Excellence Coordinator at Seminole County Public Schools
YMOE legacy of cultivating excellent first started in 2011 with the collaborative efforts of Edward Blacksheare, Velma Williams, James Milton Jr. and Robert Guy leading the charge in the halls of Seminole High School. They had a vision to foster a program that elevated the opportunities minorities were exposed to within the school system, as well as, promoting academic success, college readiness and future success. Because of their dedication, vision and drive; Mr. Guy was able to implement this program at various schools throughout Seminole County, six to be exact.

Brea Jones

Brea Jones is a strategic leader and award-winning journalist. She worked to stop the spread of misinformation surrounding health and politics as a reporter with FactCheck.org at the University of Pennsylvania. Brea writes articles that are designed to help readers make informed decisions about their lives. Since 2015, Brea has written articles and produced multimedia for several publications where she covered entertainment, politics, and health. She gained valuable leadership skills by working as the editor-in-chief of the Seminole Newspaper, promotions and recruitment director for Florida International University (FIU) Student Media, executive producer of the SFMN show South Florida Access and president of the Phi Gamma chapter of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. She is also part of the 2021 MBUS Leads Cohort and the 2018 FIU Academy of Leaders class. In her free time, Jones explores her creativity through art and photography.

Dr. Lester came to UCF in 2005 to become the editor of the Florida Historical Quarterly, the peer-reviewed, scholarly publication of the Florida Historical Society. She is also the Director of RICHES of Central Florida, an interdisciplinary, digital research project that seeks to understand the history of the Central Florida region. The project was the recipient of a National Endowment for the Humanities Digital Start-up grant in 2011.
